Giant Day Yesterday!

Thu Oct 29, 2009, 5:36 AM
Thank you everyone who visited and commented on my Iron Giant Commemorative piece! The web traffic to my DA page was insane, 40 times the normal page views I get and that Iron Giant piece become my most viewed, most commented and most favourited all within 24 hours. It even ended up on the front page of DA under the 'Most Popular' for that day. So crazy.

Your compliments and enthusiasm made my day. The new Cintiq and that encouraging response to something I posted up give me momentum to keep experimenting and posting more.

Thank you!

I'm thrilled with your comic pages. Your animation-influenced style has fantastic expressions and great storytelling.

Of course Jim is still making wonderful art, what else would he be doing? I'm not doing much but doodling now and then but I enjoy it.

Heya,

Loooooooong time no chat. Nice to hear from you.

I'm juggling multiple jobs, but enjoying them all. Still teaching and doing art, but in Toronto instead of Calgary.

Good to hear you're drawing, even if it's only occasionally.

Hey jim did you make udon or do you just work there and how do you jamp it to udon.

I'm not a founder of the UDON company (they started in 2000 and I arrived in 2003) but I am one of the people in charge now. The head of UDON is a man named Erik Ko, but he's busy with other aspects of the company and doesn't post here on DA.

As far as other information, common questions we get about the company, most of them are answered in this older Journal post:
