The Lich monster painting for Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition went through a major overhaul before the final version was approved for print. Here is the original version I did up, focused on fire magic instead of the frost-based final.

this version is outright better, like the hellish waves of arcane energy, it looks really like it's going to f**k up the party.

Not the usual type of magic a lich uses 'cuz it looks fire-ish, but both versions are amazing.
