A blast from the past. This is a page from Chapter 5 of my online graphic novel, The Makeshift Miracle. This page was originally posted up on June 7th, 2002.

I think it's the best page in the story and was a real watershed moment for me with Photoshop at the time. I created a tutorial for it back in the day too, which you can check out HERE.

I need to have more of those inspired moments and I'm hoping that sharing and seeing all kinds of great art on Deviant will kick me into gear to do that. Thanks for coming by to check it out.

I remember seeing this in a book on web art I had as a kid. I still have it, it was called 'Toon Art'. This image always stuck in my mind very vibrantly (and I also heard Utada Hikaru's 'Simple and Clean' in my head whenever I looked at it).

Good memory. It was in 'Toon Art'. Glad you like it. It's quite different stylistically from the new version of Makeshift Miracle, but I still like it.
