I'm amused by all the hooplah and anger surrounding announcements of Wonder Woman's new costume that debuted today.

No matter what people may think of the actual design and new storyline, it's definitely the most media attention Wonder Woman has received in a long time, so I'm sure some people at DC are pleased with that, at least.

Looking over Jim Lee's redesign and thinking about the whole thing a bit, I had a sliver of time this evening and thought I'd try sketching it out for fun. After that, a quick splash of colour to give it a graphic edge.

A massive shadowy creature looms towards her from off camera - negative fan reaction, unimpressive comic sales, expectations of a modern era, the future unknown... whatever it may be, Diana faces it down with determination.

She's survived worse than this. :)

I HATE the new-wonder-woman...the old WW would have kicked her ass in a heartbeat...you never touch a classic icon like ww and do it like this...anyway the art is really cool though!!

I think the outfit is great. The jacket's just fine too. Makes her look like less of a generic stereotypical Vegas showgirl and more like someone who'll kick your ass.

Don't mind the new look that much (even if it does remind me of the 70's debacle).

After all, she can't be wearing bloomers all the time, can she?. Still those pants have got to be a little restricting.

I feel like an odd man out because I like this new costume way better than her old one... it made no sense for her character and just looked stupid. :x But I love your drawing! <3
